Larry Wayne “Bubba” Sustarsic, 54 of Arma, KS, passed away on
January 15, 2011, at the Girard Medical Center, in Girard, KS, he had
been in ill health for the past two and a half years.
Larry was born in Pittsburg, Kansas on November 12, 1956 to Frank and
Mae (McCool) Sustarsic.
He graduated from Northeast High School, upon graduation, Larry began
working for Pitt Plastics in Pittsburg, KS. He was employed with them for
32 years, retiring in 2008 due to ill health. He was an avid Jay Hawk,
Chiefs and Royals fan.
He married Janna Owen in June of 1986 and they later divorced. From
that marriage, Larry’s greatest joy was born, his daughter Amanda, She
survives along with his mother Mae, his brothers Frankie Sustarsic and
wife Phyllis of Pittsburg, and Gary Sustarsic of Arma, along with his sister
Joyce Sustarsic of Arma, many nieces, nephews and a granddaughter
Chloe to be born in May, also a special daughter Samantha Owen of
Olathe, KS.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be 10 am, Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the Friskel
Funeral Home 230 E. McKay Frontenac, with Rev. Jim Sukraw officiating.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Family will receive
friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm Monday. Condolences may be

Sustarsic memorial fund; theses may be left at or mailed to the funeral
home. The family will be at the home of Frankie Sustarsic 702 W.
