Pauline (Cressent) Silc, 92 of Mulvane, KS formerly of Girard, KS
died at 2:40 p.m. Thursday July 9, 2010 at the Villa Maria Nursing Facility
in Mulvane, KS.
She was born December 20, 1917 in Arma, KS the daughter of John
and Eva (Lefevre) Cressent. She was a 1935 graduate of Arma High
School.
Pauline married John P. Silc on November 9, 1938 in Pittsburg, KS;
he preceded her in death on April 18, 2001.
She was a homemaker: and a member of the Saint Michaels
Catholic Church in Girard.
Survivors include three daughters Linda Daniel of Urbana, IL;
Yvette Murtha of Derby, KS; Treva Nichols of Norwich, KS; 10
grandchildren; 9 Great-grandchildren and a 10th on the way. She was
preceded in death by her parents, a son Philip Donald Silc, a brother
Alexander “Alex” Cressent a sister Lucille Elizabeth and a granddaughter
Tracy Lynn Tate.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday July 14th at
the Saint Michaels Catholic Church in Girard with Father Carney as
celebrant. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in
Pittsburg. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.
Wednesday at the church in Girard where the parish rosary will be
recited at 10 a.m. following the visitation. Condolences can be sent to
