2010 at her home following a long illness.
Margie was born July 25, 19 31 in Wicks, Arkansas the daughter of
Julian and Maybell Brewer Ward. She has been a part of the area for
over 50 years.
On May 24, 19 57 she married Harry D. Sherman in Arkansas ; he
preceded her in death on December 16, 1988 . Margie worked as a
housewife.
She was a member of the House of Prayer Church in Arcadia , KS ; she
belonged to AARP, loved crocheting, fishing and cooking.
Survivors include her step-children Jane Johnson and husband Lee of
Frontenac, KS and Charles D. Sherman of Arma, KS; siblings June Britt,
Cledith Ward, Olaleen Ward and Julia Ward; sister and brother in-laws
Maudie and Charles Sherman; 5 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren
and 5 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings Arleen
Ward, Bonnie Ward, Florence Ward, grandchildren Lisa Clinton Perrino
and Dink Sherman.
Graveside Services will be 10am Thursday July 15, 2010 at the Garden
of Memories Cemetery in Pittsburg , KS with Rev. Emul DeGonia
officiating. Family will receive friends from 6-7pm Wednesday July 14,
2010 at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac , KS . Friends may call
the funeral home after 2pm on Wednesday. E-mail condolences may be
