Elizabeth Pacconi 103, of Frontenac , KS died Wednesday June 9, 2010
illness.
Elizabeth was born July 22, 19 06 in Chicopee , Kansas the daughter of
Antone and Marguerite (Anselmino) Ortaldo. She was a lifelong resident
of the area and attended area schools in Capaldo.
On January 9, 19 32 she married Ugo Pacconi at Sacred Heart Catholic
Church in Frontenac , KS ; he preceded her in death on September 19,
19 66 . Elizabeth was a homemaker. She a member of the Sacred
Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac, KS and a former member of the
Altar Society, an avid quilter, loved flowers, gardening and most of all
her family.
Survivors include her daughter Betty Grant of Frontenac , KS ; sister
Josephine Iussig of Chicago , IL ; 3 grandchildren, 11
great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son in-law James
B. Grant, 2 brothers and 5 sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Saturday June 12, 2010 at the
Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac , KS with Fr. Robert Spencer
as celebrant. Burial will follow at the Highland Park Cemetery in
Pittsburg , KS . Rosary will be recited at 7pm Friday June 11, 2010 at
the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac , KS . Family will receive friends
immediately following the rosary. Friends may call the funeral home
after 2pm on Friday. In lieu of flowers the family ask expressions of
sympathy be in the form of memorials to Harry Hynes Hospice or Sacred
Heart Catholic Church. Friends may drop off or mail memorials to
Friskel Funeral Home 230 E. McKay Frontenac, KS 66763. E-mail
