FRONTENAC — Edna V. Mog, 90 of Frontenac, KS died at 6:50 a.m.,
Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at her home.
Edna was born August 23, 1918 in Fairgrove, MO to Roscoe and Ola
(Blunt) Tracy. As a small child she moved with her parents to Parsons,
KS, where she attended schools, graduating from High School in 1937.
In 1937, she married Chester Maupin. He preceded her in death. On
April 23, 1959, she married Sinnie Mog. They moved to La Harpe, KS
where she lived for the next 30 years, before moving to Frontenac in
1991 to be near her daughter and family. Sinnie preceded her in death
October 5, 1992.
Edna was a seamstress and worked for Brodericks in Parsons for many
years.
Edna belonged to the Golden Gate Chapter O.E.S. in La Harpe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, two brothers and
two sisters.
Edna is survived by her daughter Anna Wiseman and husband Richard
of Frontenac, KS; grandsons Joe Wiseman and wife Janette of Pittsburg
and Scott Wiseman and wife Judy of Frontenac, KS; along with three
great-grandsons Jeff Wiseman of Arizona, Shannon Wiseman and Zack
Wiseman both of Frontenac, KS.
Graveside services will be 1:00pm, Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Frontenac
City Cemetery in Frontenac, KS with Bud Cooper officiating. Family and
friends are requested to meet at Friskel Funeral Home, 230 E. McKay
St., Frontenac, by 12:45 p.m. to go in procession to the cemetery. The
family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
