Obituaries
Walter Lee Marlier, 84 of Frontenac, died at 11:31 am on Sunday,
August 28, 2011at the Via Christi Hospital Pittsburg.

He was born October 21, 1926 in Hartshorn, OK the son of Tom and
Pearlie (Fennell) Marlier.  

On June 16, 1951 he was united in marriage to Julia A. Nolimal, she
preceded him in death on March 25, 2010.

Walt served in the U.S. Army from January 1945 to November 1946 when
hewas honorably discharge with the rank of Cpl, T5.

He worked for Pepsi Cola Bottling Company in Pittsburg in beer delivery
and sales for 34+years.

He was a longtime member of the John F. Derby American Legion Post
#43in Frontenac.

Survivors include a son Mike Marlier and his wife Wendy Frontenac,
daughter Leann Marlier also of Frontenac, three grandchildren
Jessica(Jeff) Olson, Brett Marlier, Kelsy Marlier and a great-grandson
Brock Olson to be born soon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Don Marlier and a
grandson Aaron Marlier.

Graveside services will be 10 am, Thursday, Sept 1, 2011at the Mt.
Carmel Cemetery. Burial will follow.  Family and friends are requested to
meet at the Friskel Funeral Home and follow in the procession to the
cemetery. The procession will leave the funeral home at 9:45 am. The
family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-8pm Wednesday
evening. The John F. Derby American Legion Post #43 will provide flag
folding rites at the graveside.  The Condolences may be left at
www.friskelfuneralhome.com.  Memorials may be made to the SEK
Humane Society and/or Angels Among Us, these may be left ator mailed
