Agnes “ Geneva ” Fox, 86 of Girard died at 2:50 a.m. Tuesday
August 2, 2011 at the Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg .
She was born December 18, 1924 in Farlington , KS the daughter
of Edward and Grace (Jones) Threlfall. She grew up in Farlington and
moved to Girard in 1942 and has remained in Girard since.
Geneva married Henry L. “Jack” Fox on September 10, 1942 in
Girard , KS ; he preceded her in death on May 9, 1994.
She was a homemaker but also worked for FMI Printing and
Heritage Nursing Home in Girard.
Survivors include a daughter Cheryl Fields of Girard; two sons
Steve Fox and wife Luella and Gary Fox and wife Diana all of Girard; a
granddaughter Julie Armstrong and husband Chad of Andover, KS; two
Great-grandchildren Logan and Meghan Armstrong both of Andover;
nephews “Corky” Kenneth Threlfall, Terry and Jerry Threlfall a niece
Sharon Ausemus and several great-nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother Kenneth Threlfall,
a sister Mildred Threlfall and a son-in-law Howard Fields.
Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Friday August 5, 2011 at the
Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac with Reverend Dan Muter officiating.
Burial will follow in the Girard City Cemetery . Friends may call at the
funeral home from noon until 5 p.m. Thursday. Condolences can be
