Obituaries
Mary Kathryn (Kilger) Dudgeon, 89, Overland Park, Kansas, died on
September 25, 2011.
Mary Kay was born in Weir City, Kansas, moving to Mindenmines,
Missouri then to Frontenac, Kansas.
She was married to Morris Dudgeon who preceded her in death.
She lived most of her life in Pittsburg, Kansas where she settled after
serving as a Navy nurse during World War II. She enjoyed a long career
in nursing, both teaching and working as a traveling nurse.
She is survived by her two daughters, Maureen and Carol, their
husbands, Bradd Silver and Richard Ploetz and her grandchildren, Mark
and Jeff Silver and Kathryn Ploetz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Johanna Kilger and
her sister, Johanna Vediz.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 am, Tuesday, September 27, 2011at
the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Stroot Officiating.
Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery in Pittsburg. Condolences
may be left at www.friskelfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made to the Employee Celebration Fund at Villa St. Joseph
where Mary Kay lived out her last years with great care and respect;

Overland Park, KS 66209, or left at or mailed to the funeral home.
